A downloadable game for Windows
Originally released in 2013, Lost Worlds is a short action game built in UDK with a 3D isometric camera view. Using only default UDK assets (plus voice acting and music), it combines exciting combat, environment puzzles, and a narrative that tells the story of a galaxy where humanity mysteriously and suddenly vanished 1000 years ago leaving everything they created behind. Humanity's robotic creations, the Mechlons, now rule the galaxy using their abandoned cities and ships.
You play as Max, a scrappy and emotional Mechlon who seeks to discover humanity's fate by searching planetary ruins before the profiteering Dominus Corporation can strip them of their clues and riches. After discovering an uncharted planet, Max and his trusty side-kick Proxy, set off to finally discover the first piece of the puzzle that will reveal humanity's fate and the future fate of the Mechlons.
A LETTER FROM THE DEVELOPER
I made Lost Worlds as a way to build up my portfolio to get a job making AAA games. It worked! Now, I want to share this project with you as a learning tool. You can download it for free here or at my portfolio site below. My portfolio also has a juicy design and analysis document to help you learn more about how this kind of game is designed. It's all free, but donations here on itch.io are welcome if you find it useful. Thanks!

This game is provided as-is and free of charge. It will not be updated. Epic's UDK is deprecated in favor of Unreal Engine 4 and I have no time to update it. Sorry!
This video shows off snippets of gameplay as well as all the things I had to build to make this game. It is not a trailer, it is a portfolio demo reel.
